Clayton has been studying Haida Art since his early teen years with many Skidegate Teachers, most notably Bill Reid. High school art teachers introduced a lot of different are mediums. Claytons preferred medium are wood, precious metals, leather, textiles and print. His style emulates the old classical Skidegate Haida masters with his own original design. Clayton  feels that the supernatural’s  left us an awesome legacy and are there to show us the way.
