April earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and worked as a geologist in field. Living in many remote areas of the North American West, she became one with the environment, translating the dimensions into two through mapmaking. April realized an overarching internal perspective by also working and living. the ocean-fully experiencing the dynamic power of this force. This open-air edification strengthened an end personal connection between the land and sea realms of her Haida ancestors.
