Bernard Kerrigan
Bernard Kerrigan is a Haida artist with roots in the village of Dadens on Langara Island on Haida Gwaii.
Born in 1963 in Daajing Giids (Formerly Queen Charlotte). He is brother to Keith Kerrigan. Bernard began his studies with the late Claude Davidson working in argillite, a soft form of slate found only on Haida Gwaii. He is influenced by his late grandfather, Robert Davidson Sr. He received a law degree at UBC. He spent many years in Vancouver before returning to his roots and culture to become a full-time artist in Masset.
