Benedicte Hansen is an artist with deep passion dating back to her formative years. Today her work reflects an empathy for peoples struggles and her knowledge of ancient ritual practices. As the world faced the impact of Covid-19, she began thinking about the universal experience of grief and it's stages of life. Also, deeply moved by the plight of Missing and Murdered & Two Spirit she set out on a path that inspired this body of work which offers catharsis, hope, and visualizes the journey from grief new life.
