Creating and teaching for over 30 years, I work with cast silver, gold and bronze from highly detailed hand modeled wax to produce original jewellery and sculpture. My work draws upon on a lifelong engagement with the natural world, and my designs frequently contain organic motifs which are symbolic, evocative and striking. The most common comment I receive is, “I’ve never seen anything like it”.  I often create assembled hybrid pieces evolved from a repertoire of past work and frequently include unexpected moving parts to animate and enliven the jewellery. Working with other mediums such as clay, plaster and photography informs the interdisciplinary approach I take to my practice and allows for transference of skills and techniques which often lead to new experimental directions to investigate. I set a high standard of quality and continually challenge myself in elevating skill level and creativity. With the thousands of hours I have put into my lifelong passion of creating, I have developed a wide range of sculpting methods, fabricated unique tools and developed innovative procedures which are shared when I teach. The joy I get from making never ceases and I can always count on the satisfaction I feel when working at my craft. It is all about experimenting, taking chances, pushing the limits of ability and imagination, staying fresh and doing what I love to do. I feel like I have just begun.
